1、 Clamping method of elastic gasket
When grinding the sheet workpiece on the surface grinder of the grinder, an elastic clamping mechanism is adopted to realize the positioning and clamping of the sheet workpiece in a free state. A layer of 0.5mm thick rubber is placed between the workpiece and the magnetic worktable. When the workpiece is subjected to magnetic attraction, the rubber is compressed and the elastic deformation becomes smaller, so that the flat plane of the workpiece can be ground. Repeated grinding for several times can meet the requirements of machining accuracy.
2、 Strengthen the rigidity of sheet workpiece with temporary measures
Using epoxy resin bond, the sheet workpiece is bonded to a flat plate in a free state. Place the plate together with the sheet on the magnetic suction cup. After grinding the plane of one end of the sheet, remove the sheet workpiece from the flat plate, put the ground side on the magnetic suction cup, and then grind the plane of the other end of the sheet workpiece. Because the epoxy resin has fluidity before hardening, it can fill the gap between the sheet workpiece and the flat plate. When the epoxy resin hardens, the workpiece and the flat plate are bonded together to form a whole, which greatly enhances the rigidity of the workpiece. Under the magnetic attraction, the sheet workpiece will not produce clamping deformation, which creates conditions for grinding a flat plane. Thick grease can also be used instead of epoxy resin to fill the gap between the sheet workpiece and the magnetic suction cup to enhance the rigidity of the workpiece, which can also receive good results.
3、 Mechanical clamping mode
Use the flat tongs in the accessories of the surface grinder to suck the sheet workpiece by the magnetic worktable. Because the flat tongs have a certain height, the jaw is less affected by the magnetic force. Use the method of gradually reducing the feed rate to grind one plane of the sheet workpiece and remove it. At this time, put the ground plane on the magnetic workbench, and then grind the other plane of the sheet workpiece. Grind it repeatedly for several times, and the flatness of the two planes meets the requirements.
4、 Vacuum clamping mode
The atmospheric pressure is used to clamp the sheet workpiece for grinding. The working principle is that the clamp is provided with a rubber sealing ring, and the sheet workpiece is placed on the rubber sealing ring, so that a sealing cavity is formed between the workpiece and the clamp. The indoor air is pumped out from the air extraction hole with a vacuum pump, and the workpiece is clamped. Due to the small clamping force, the circumferential grinding method can be used for grinding. When grinding the plane of one end of the sheet workpiece and the plane of the other end of the sheet workpiece, the above method can be adopted, and satisfactory results can also be obtained.
The common thin parts such as washer, friction plate, template and thin plate, due to poor rigidity, difficult heat dissipation and bending after heat treatment, cause clamping deformation during clamping and easy warpage during grinding. Usually, the magnetic suction cup is used for grinding on the surface grinder. After grinding, the magnetic attraction is removed and the thin plate workpiece is restored to its original state, which is difficult to ensure the machining accuracy. If the following clamping methods are adopted to ensure the positioning and clamping of the sheet workpiece in the free state, and the double end face is used for grinding, good results can be achieved and the machining accuracy requirements of parts can be met.
